Let the music set you free…I'm always trying to find new music...music that just instantly hits me. I start feeling the song and then immediately run to lyrics.com to check out what the song is saying. And then of course I relate my own life to the lyrics that have been written.

So…as of now what's in my top list is:

Brandy's new album: Human

Favorite songs are 1st & love and Warm it up with love. I am a big fan

of Brandy and have all of her albums. Both these songs touched me

right away.

Also,
Kings of Leon's current album

Favorite songs are Closer and Revelry. I am completely feeling this band and their sound. Love these songs and have been playing them on repeat.

Now why would the sexy songstress, Nicole Scherzinger, not want to remix A.R. Rahman's song, 'Jai Ho'? With all the hype from the original track you would think that the lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls would jump at the opportunity to remix it. Well this wasn't the case at all.
Nicole told Desi Hits! " "I was scared, I was afraid to let people hear it, to be honest I really didn't want to do it."
Nicole thinks the song was already amazing and that's why she was hesitant to recreate A.R. Rahman's work. but after giving it a lot of thought and with the support of Jimmy Iovine, she had a change of heart and thought it would be a great opportunity for her to create an English adaptation to the song.
This was a difficult task for the artist as she highly respects the original track. "I prayed every night to do this right," she said expressing how important this project was to her. Nicole Scherzinger was so moved by the film that she wanted to be sure to incorporate themes from 'Slumdog Millionaire', such as destiny and love into her adaptation.
Jimmy Iovine approached Nicole Scherzinger with the idea of remixing 'Jai Ho' and she expressed her initial reservations about doing it to Desi Hits! Nicole said, "I was scared, I was afraid to let people hear it, to be honest I really didn't want to do it."
Nicole first experienced the Desi culture when Desi Hits! hooked her up with a saree for the NY Fashion Week kick-off, "Fashion Rocks" and she was even more drawn to all things Desi after watching the film "Slumdog Millionaire". Now she loves to don Desi through her clothing and accessories. During the meeting she even had a colorful bindi and dupata on as she spoke to us.

 From my heart to yours...

I am in New York right now in my hotel room and I am thinking of how lucky I am. I have so many friends and family that are going through so much right now due to our economy. I have several friends who have lost their jobs and can’t seem to find a new opening anywhere. I want to say to all of you who may be hurting right now that I send you all my love and light! Keep your head up - at times like this instead of worrying about what will come give all your love to yourself and the loved ones you have around you.
Have faith that it will someday get better and this time will pass. Make sure to smile and laugh! What helps me a lot when I’m going through hard times is, of course, listening to music and renting funny movies! It’s not expensive and it will allow you to escape and laugh (which in my eyes laughter IS the best medicine).

The Pussycat Dolls, Fergie, Staind, Gym Class Heroes and Gavin DeGraw have been tapped as headliners for The Big Dance, a three-day concert series taking place during the NCAA Final Four basketball championship weekend next month in Detroit.

The Dolls, taking a break from their run on Britney Spears' Circus Tour, and DeGraw will be the main attractions at the Big Dance Saturday on April 4, while Staind, Gym Class Heroes, new Sean "Diddy" Combs protege Janelle Monae and fledgling rock band Parachute will take the stage during My Coke Fest on April 5, with "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest emceeing.

The Circus has begun...

We have done two shows so far with Ms. Britney Spears! I have to say I was really nervous before we got on stage. We staged the show in a couple hours and have never performed on a round circle stage before. Our adrenalin kicked in and when we saw all the fans we pulled it off. The response was amazing!!! Thank you to all who rushed to your seats in time to see us do our show! It feels good to be in America and receiving so much love from all of you!

I also want to say congrats to Britney...she looks amazing on stage. I had goose bumps when she started the show. The crowd is giving her so much love and warm embrace. She has been through a lot for the whole world to see and I commend her for getting on that stage and doing what she does best. Go Britney!

We are now in Miami and have a day off...so you all know where I am headed.. TO THE BEACH!!! mmm
